Nancy Boynton Hartley Paintings
I paint with the intention of creating an uplifting experience. Using color, shape, and design, my goal is to achieve a bright moment, for the viewer, and myself. Hoping that my work puts a smile on your face, and warmth in your heart.
Growing up in an artistic, and creative family, in the East Bay hills, I was exposed to many museums, and art galleries, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As a 4th generation native, I was lucky to have grandparents, and extended family, close by, who encouraged art education.
While a young student, I took classes at the Richmond Art Center. Later, in high school, I attended the Saturday, and summer life drawing, and painting classes, at The California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland CA.
I went on to graduate from San Jose State University, with a B.A. in painting. Following graduation, I was accepted to the M.F.A. program at San Jose State Univ.
After many enjoyable years, spent in a sales career in the corporate world, I am now thrilled to be able to return to my first love, painting.
